CT member, Jody ("scrappyjo)") has kindly shared some stamping techniques that she has used on her LOs.
Rock 'n' Roll
For this technique you will need a solid stamp (not just an outline) and two inks in different shades.
Step 1
Ink your stamp with the lighter of your two colours.
Step 2
Then with the darker colour, "roll" the edges of your stamp on to the stamp pad.
Step 3
Then stamp on to your page or cardstock ready to cut out and you will have a lovely two toned image.
Using a glue pad
You will need: solid stamp image, glue pad, glitter.
You could then ink the same solid image (stamp) using a glue pad (this is like a stamp pad but it has glue instead of colour) and stamp directly over the top of the stamped colour image. Then using some glitter, sprinkle over the top of the image, and then tap away the excess. You will then have a shimmery stamped image.
Kissing
For this technique you will need one ink and two stamps - a solid image and a patterned image.
Using a solid stamp image, ink well with a colour of your choice. Then take your patterned stamp and using NO ink, stamp directly on to your inked stamp (which will remove some of the colour). Then stamp on to your page or your card stock ready to cut out the image.
Stamping with bubble wrap or other household items
In my Minx Layout below, I have used some bubble wrap to stamp with. How I do this is i wrap the bubble wrap around an acrylic stamp block
(but you could use a piece of cardboard or timber if you don't have a stamp block)
ink up and stamp!
It really is that easy!
I have also used in other layouts: the protective packaging that nashi pears are wrapped in (example coming soon), cotton reals, material, tissue paper - the list is endless.
Think outside the square and get stamping...!!!!
Thank you Jody for sharing those tips with us
