Good morning everyone and welcome to another installment of
"SCRAPPER IN THE SPOTLIGHT"This week's scrapper is another original member of EMM and has been an avid forum and gallery poster since the early days of EMM.
We have watched her work evolve over the years and her attention to detail is amazing.
She has dabbled in the world of digi-scrapping and many of her amazing digital LOs are hard to distinguish from her equally amazing paper creations.
She has the ability to switch between the two forms of scrapping as well as different sizes within each medium and make it appear effortless.
Introducing the work of the gorgeous
KARENI asked Karen to share some of her thoughts about scrapping with us...
How long have you been scrapping?
Since 2000 when my heartsista
introduced me to scrapping to help me beat depression.
How would you describe your style?
Pretty, freestyle, story
focused,
Do you have a designated area for scrapping or is it a
shared space (dining room table, etc)?
I have a new dedicated scrapping
room, purpose built with large windows for natural light and my own cupboard to
hide my limited stash in. I decided I was going to check out of "she who dies
with the most stash wins" and use up everything I have - it's
freeing!
What is your favourite patterned paper range at the
moment?
I don't have favourites
anymore...although anything pink tends to be a goer in our house of
girls.
What is your favourite technique to use?
Smearing white paint around the
edge of a layout. I love love love that look. whenever a layout looks
unfinished, that is what I do.
What is your favourite embellishment to use?
Flowers and ribbon. I love the look
of knotted ribbons stapled onto a layout.
Do you have any tips you would like to share with your
fellow scrappers?
Just do it.
Scraplift heaps to try
out new things.
Tell your story.
