Welcome to this week's
~*~SCRAPPER IN THE SPOTLIGHT~*~
This week's scrapper was one of the first scrapper's to join The Lounge site back in the days when it was known as "EMM"
Introducing the work of the lovely
~*~LINDA~*~
(aka "Scrap_Addict)
I asked Linda to answer some questions for me about her scrapping.
How long have you been scrapping?
I started scrapping when my second child
was born, so I have been addicted to this craft now for 8 years..and still
loving it :)
How would you describe your style?
Varied, at times I have
followed the trends but now I just follow the heart and discover what works for
me. Currently I would say my style is simple with heaps of ink & bling
Do you have a designated area for scrapping or is it a shared space (dining room
table, etc)?
We have combined our computers + craft into a bedroom. I love that
when I have had a very creative day I can close the door on the mess and clean
up later :)
What is your favourite patterned paper range at the moment?
I
have always loved Basic Grey they are always coming up with fantastic
combinations which suit the boys in my life.
What is you favourite
technique to use?
I really love to ink the edges and give more definition to my
papers edges & sanding the edges of my photographs.
What is your
favourite embellishment to use?
Currently I am working my way through a HUGE
amount of Chipboard shapes, alphas etc.. And I have decided that EVERY layout
will have a piece of chipboard upon it. So I am really enjoying working with
Chipboard covering, inking, painting. All looks fantastic on a layout.
Any scraps from your layouts always keep don't throw away as they make awesome cards, while you in the mojo moment make the card after your layout this way you won't loose the co-ordination of all the scraps & your ahead for up and coming birthdays
Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us Linda.
Here are some of Linda's gorgeous creations
(and yes.....she started out scrapping 12x12 layouts and has now moved to "the dark side" - 8.5 x 11" pages)

Linda has also just started up her own business,
"CUTTING BEAUTY"
Using a Pazzle cutting system, Linda has started creating words and phrases to sell, for scrappers and card makers to use.
Check it out...I am sure Linda will be able to help you if you are looking for a certain word or phrase or even an unusual spelling of a child's name.
Thank you again Linda for taking the time to answer our questions.
Wishing everyone a happy, scrappy Tuesday
