Welcome to another tutorial on how to alter chipboard, kindly put together by the lovely Miss Jodi
The technique challenge for February is to alter two pieces of chipboard and to use them on a LO.
"Your layout must include two pieces of
chipboard that you have altered in some way. It can be: painted,
glittered, inked, covered, dimensional magic on it and so much more.
The chipboard must be altered by YOU. It must not be pre-altered chipboard"
In this tutorial, Jodi shows us how to enhance your chipboard shapes by wrapping them in wire and adding beads.
By combining the techniques from this tutorial with the this technique, you can really make your chipboard pieces mini works of art.
STEP 6
Don't they look great...???
Jodi has given a few extra handy hints for creating these little "chippie" masterpieces
- use a fine jewellers wire that is really malleable - the one I use is so soft I barely use the pliers (just use them to finish off)
- make sure you're chipboard is already painted, inked, stamped or otherwise - you won't be able to do this after you have wrapped it with wire! {in this tute my letters are painted had rub-on's applied and finished with DM before I start}
- this could probably work with embroidery floss, thin strips of fabric or yarn too!!!!
If you enter the monthly competition, who knows....??? - you may even win yourself a prize.
Happy creating.
